La Galerie à venir Paris and Emanuel von Baeyer London are delighted to announce their joint exhibition « Breathe Space / Respirer l’espace », which will take place from 1st to 6th April 2025.
The exhibition presents, for the first time in Paris, a selection of works (paintings, watercolours and drawings) by the American artist, Howard Smith, born in 1943 in Chicago and living in New York, associated with a selection of paintings by the English artist, Celia Middlemiss, born in 1948 in Newcastle and living in France.
Circles, squares, lines and crosses of Smith series "Universe" are hung on the wall, without any prior order, the artist Howard Smith questions the notions of fragments, through its elements that are at once singular, united and in full expansion in the space.
