Marc Geneix
Marc Geneix was born in 1975 in Clermont-Ferrand, France. He lives and works in Plouezec, in the Côtes-d'Armor (Brittany).
He graduated from the Limoges-Aubusson School of Arts and Design in 2001. Musician, designer and artist, his work oscillates between object and sculpture, purity and ornamentation, vernacular and sacred. Each one of his pieces plays with the multiple definitions of form and function.
"I started creating sculptures and paintings, says Marc Geneix, using violin-making techniques, working with a minimal approach and focusing on simple geometric shapes. Today I like the idea of creating a dialogue between different practices in a system of circulation of forms, materials and techniques."
